Golden Knights overcome 4 goals from Oilers’ Leon Draisaitl in Game 1 win

The Golden Knights scored two goals early in the third period (Ivan Barbashev at the 2:36 mark followed by Chandler Stephenson at the 3:26 mark) to take a 5-3 lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl scored four goals. He now has 11 goals in the playoffs (in seven games) which leads the NHL. Golden Knights forwards Mark Stone and Jack Eichel each scored a goal and added an assist and Oilers forward Connor McDavid notched two assists. The two teams next play each other Saturday at 7 p.m. ET in Vegas with the Golden Knights holding a 1-0 series lead.
